Originally written by Rogers & Hammerstein for their musical Carousel, the song is well known all over the globe, due to the success of Liverpool F.C. It has accompanied the Reds on all their successes at home and in Europe over the last 50 years, starting with the 1965 F.A. Cup Final victory over Leeds.
