About The Palm House
The Palm House opened in 1896 thanks to the funding of local millionaire who donated £10,000 in aid of its construction.
It was partially restored in 1950 due to the damaged caused by the 1941 Liverpool blitz.
There are famous statues in the 8 corners of the Palm House, including Captain Hook, Christopher Columbus, Charles Darwin and more.
The Palm House was fully restored and opened in 2001 with funding from the Heritage Lottery.
