Aunty Jill’s Scouse
1 1/2 (700g) Chuck Steak
4tbs Olive Oil
4 Big Spuds
(peeled and chopped)
2 onions (chopped)
1 terrnip (chopped)
5 carrits (chopped)
1 bottle o’ale
2 pints (1.1l) beef stock
2 bay leaves
A birrof thyme
Gerrout a big pan & add the olive oil & heat
Purrin the diced chuck steak & give it a stir (don’t lerrit stick)
Cook til the meat terns brown den add salt n’ peppa
Den chuck in the onions & cook till soft (lad)
Add the ale, cook till it’s boiled down to about ‘alf
Next purrin the carrit, terrnip & ‘alf the spuds wiv the bay leaves & thyme (very la de da) add the beef stock and bring to the boil
Den turnout down & simmer fer ‘alf an ‘our
Purrin the rest of the spuds & simmer again fer an ‘our an ‘alf till the meat is gorjuss & soft
