Martin's Bank Liver Bird Emblem Tile

Martin’s Bank Liver Bird Emblem Tile

£9.00

In stock

Created by local Liverpool artist Neal Dawson, this Martin’s Band Liver Bird  tile is made from tumbled travertine. This material proved to be perfect, enabling the image to take on the markings and texture of the stone, giving it an aged and unique look. Our Martin’s Bank  tile also has four cushioned discs underneath, so it will not damage any surface it is placed on.
Each tile is made individually, therefore making every one unique! As travertine is a natural stone, shades may vary slightly.

About Martins Bank:

In 1918, private London bank Martins was acquired by the bank of Liverpool, which had been founded in 1831.
The logo of Martins Bank is a Liver Bird (Cormorant) holding a branch of seaweed.
A new headquarters for Martins Bank was designed by architect Herbert James Rowse on Water Street and opened in 1932, replacing the previous headquarters, also on Water Street.
Martins Bank was the first bank in the North of England to have a cash machine.
It was also the first and only English bank to have its headquarters outside of London.
