Liverpool Philharmonic Tile

Liverpool Philharmonic Tile

£9.00

In stock

Created by local Liverpool artist Neal Dawson, this Liverpool Philharmonic tile is made from tumbled travertine. This material proved to be perfect, enabling the image to take on the markings and texture of the stone, giving it an aged and unique look. Our Philharmonic tile also has four cushioned discs underneath, so it will not damage any surface it is placed on.
Each tile is made individually, therefore making every one unique! As travertine is a natural stone, shades may vary slightly.

About The Philharmonic:

This art deco concert hall designed by Herbert Rowse is situated on Hope Street in Liverpool, opened in 1939. The previous Philharmonic Hall was destroyed by a fire in 1933 resulting in a new hall, still standing today. The concert hall was temporarily closed in order to be refurbished by world renowned architects Caruso St John. The refurbishment cost £14 m and the hall re-opened in 2014. The Philharmonic Hall is home to the award-winning Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra which is the UK’s oldest continuing professional symphony orchestra. Many other notable artists have performed in the venue over the years.
