Empire Theatre Tile

Empire Theatre Tile

£9.00

In stock

Created by local Liverpool artist Neal Dawson, this Empire Theatre tile is made from tumbled travertine. This material proved to be perfect, enabling the image to take on the markings and texture of the stone, giving it an aged and unique look. Our Empire Theatre tile also has four cushioned discs underneath, so it will not damage any surface it is placed on.
Each tile is made individually, therefore making every one unique! As travertine is a natural stone, shades may vary slightly.

About The Empire Theatre:

The Empire Theatre is located in Liverpool on the corner of Lime Street and London Road.
The theatre was opened in 1925 and has the largest two-tier auditorium in Britain, seating 2,348 people.
It has hosted many famous performers such as Frank Sinatra, The Carpenters, Neil Sedaka, Judy Garland, and The Beatles in their early days!
The Empire is supposedly haunted by a former painter called Len and a young girl in a Victorian dress.
In 2007, the theatre hosted the Royal Variety Performance.
