About the Palm House:

The Palm House is a three tier dome conservatory situated in South Liverpool’s Sefton Park.
It was opened in 1896s and designed and built by MacKenzie and Moncur from Edinburgh.
The design was influenced by Joseph Paxton’s glass houses and was consequently filled with lots of exotic plants.
Statues by the French sculptor Chavalliaud can be found in the 8 corners of the Palm House. Charles Darwin, Captain Cook, Christopher Columbus and Henry The Navigator and just some of the statues that are situated in the corners of the Palm House, which is now open every day of the week to the general public. The Palm House is a much used venue for weddings, parties and general events.
