Anglican Cathedral Silhouette Tile

£9.00

In stock

Created by local Liverpool artist Neal Dawson, this Silhouette Bombed Out Church tile is made from tumbled travertine. This material proved to be perfect, enabling the image to take on the markings and texture of the stone, giving it an aged and unique look. Our Bombed Out Church tile also has four cushioned discs underneath, so it will not damage any surface it is placed on.
Each tile is made individually, therefore making every one unique! As travertine is a natural stone, shades may vary slightly.

About the Anglican cathedral:

The Anglican cathedral, built on St James Mount in Liverpool is the longest cathedral in the world. Overall, it is the 5th largest cathedral worldwide.
The Anglican Cathedral is mainly built out of Sandstone quarried from the southern local area Woolton.
It took a long time to build the Anglican cathedral due to it taking place during both world wars.
Some of the stained glass was bombed in the second world war, however this was luckily later restored.
The cathedral has approximately 1,700 m2 of stained glass.
