Albion House Tile

In stock

Created by local Liverpool artist Neal Dawson, this Albion House tile is made from tumbled travertine. This material proved to be perfect, enabling the image to take on the markings and texture of the stone, giving it an aged and unique look. Our Albion House tile also has four cushioned discs underneath, so it will not damage any surface it is placed on.
Each tile is made individually, therefore making every one unique! As travertine is a natural stone, shades may vary slightly.

About Albion House:

Albion House was designed by architects Richard Norman Shaw and J. Francis Doyle. It was built between 1896 and 1898 for a shipping company which later became the White Star Line.
Albion House is also known as “30 James Street” as it is situated on the corner of The Strand and James Street.
It is a Grade II* listed building, made from white portland stone and red brick.
After many years of being vacant, Albion House was converted into a Titanic themed hotel in 2014, due to its link with the White Star Line shipping company.
