Celebrate Burns Night
Tomorrow, January 25th, marks Burns Night, an annual celebration of all things Scottish. Up and down the UK, people will be having a Scottish supper (complete with Haggis and neeps and tatties,) toasting the evening with a dram of whisky and generally having a great time!
If you’d love to join in with the celebrations, luckily Liverpool has pulled out all the stops to enjoy Burns Night in style.
St. George’s Hall will be having their annual ceilidh this Saturday, with drinking, dancing, a traditional Scottish buffet and a live brand. Unfortunately, tickets have all sold out for the event so enjoy if you’re lucky enough to be going!
One of our favourites, Delifonseca, will also be raising a wee dram come Saturday. There is a three course meal on offer, along with specially selected Whisky and a resident Scotsman complete with kilt offering his knowledge on whisky, poetry and Burns night traditions. Find more information here.
New hangout, Jenny’s Bar, will also be holding a tribute evening to the Scottish poet with a whisky tasting from 7-9pm. Reserve your tickets here.
If you’ve got any plans this Saturday or are hosting your own Burns Night celebrations, send us your pictures!
