End of summer celebrations
Summer may be on it’s way out but there’s still great events happening all over Merseyside. The weather has been pretty miserable over the last few weeks, with heavy downpours and overcast mornings that remind us of wintery November, but we’re hoping things will turn a bit brighter this weekend.
If you’re looking for somewhere to head to after the working week is over, we’ve spotted ‘Culture Night’ which will be taking place in The Bluecoat this Friday evening. In anticipation of this years Liverpool Irish Festival, the Bluecoat are putting on their own night of cultural celebration. Head down from 5pm-10pm for a night of art, music and general festivity.
The Port Sunlight Festival is also on this weekend across both Saturday and Sunday afternoon. As the 125th anniversary of the Port Sunlight Village Trust, the festival is turning into an fun filled extravaganza, so is the perfect place to head with the whole family. There will be a range of local stalls, offering locally produced food and crafts as well as traditional fairground rides, ideal if you fancy taking the little ones along.
If you’re somewhat of a car enthusiast, the festival will also feature two distinctive static car displays, or if man’s best friends is more your thing, there will be a dog show and dog agility course on offer.
The main music stage has a full line up of great performers so there will be brilliant entertainment on offer throughout the whole weekend. The festival is open from 10am-5pm on Saturday and 11am-4pm on the Sunday. For more information, head over to the website here.
