Where to head this summer in Liverpool
It’s still sunny! We can hardly believe that the weather has stayed so lovely for so long, especially after last year’s wash out summer months. The best thing about Liverpool is the amount of perfect parks and areas we have to enjoy in the sun and the great events that are happening around us.
As we mentioned a few weeks ago, the Brazilica carnival takes place this Saturday from 11am-11pm, Williamson Square. It’s a great free day out and there’s lots of associated activities popping up all over the city. We’ll be heading to the Capoeira workshop and demo that’s being held in St Luke’s Church on Saturday and then sauntering back into the centre to enjoy the carnival atmosphere.
If you’re stuck on where to head with family or friends this summer, try some of Liverpool’s great parks. Calderstones and Sefton are always big hits along with Greenbank, the Mystery and Princes park. Luckily, they’re dotted throughout the city so you should at least be in walking distance of somewhere lovely!
Chavasse Park is great in Liverpool One if you need to take a break from shopping and trawling round the stores. With lots of restaurants and nice bars around, you could spend all day wandering about in the rays.
The Albert dock will always be one of our favourite places in Liverpool and is great in the summer for a drink or a relaxing walk. Head further down the waterfront to the Pier head and pop into the Museum for some shade or stop for a drink on the terrace of Matou, it’s one of our favourite sun spots.
We also ventured down to New Brighton last weekend and managed to take this gorgeous photo of the Liverpool skyline.
Let us know where you’re catching the rays this summer!
